10U & 12U Round Robin

This is a ‘fun’ mini Round Robin tournament run to supplement the Main tournament to enable siblings (not experienced enough to enter main tournament) to play tennis in a friendly and somewhat laid back environment.

Players who have played in the main tournament CANNOT enter the Round Robin.

ALL ROUND ROBIN PLAY IS AT THE MERCY OF THE WEATHER AND COURT AVAILABILITY. MAIN TOURNAMENT WILL ALWAYS TAKE PRIORITY OVER COURTS

NO entries for this event will be taken prior to Hunstanton Tennis Week (i.e. NO Online Entries) but entries taken from Sunday morning for girls / boys singles and doubles. Last opportunity for entry is 12 noon on Tuesday.

(Mixed doubles will run on completion of singles / doubles and only if time allows. Entries taken ON THE DAY; usually on the Friday afternoon)

Paper entries completed by a parent / guardian using LTA age calculator. Entry forms can only be obtained from the Referees’ Marquee.

For the 10&U and 12&U Round Robin only, a competitors age group will be determined by their age on the 31st August on the year of the tournament

For example:

8 years of age on 31st August = 10 & Under

9 years of age on 31st August = 10 & Under

10 years of age on 31st August = 10 & Under

11 years of age on 31st August = 12 & Under

12 years of age on 31st August = 12 & Under

13+ years of age on 31st August cannot enter the Round Robin.

On closure of entries, competitors are then grouped according to their age. There could be 4, 5 or 6 competitors in each group. A list of groups will be displayed in the pavilion window, and online by 6pm Tuesday evening. Please contact us asap if any amendment necessary.

Order of play will also be posted along with the groups for ‘scheduled’ start of play on Wednesday for some of the groups. If your child is not scheduled to play on the Wednesday then they will be on the ‘provisional’ schedule for Thursday. Please check displayed notices for any updates.

The assembly for the Round Robin Tournament will take place adjacent to Court 38 on the far side of the ‘out field’

Round Robin Format

Though a ‘fun’ tournament, we would wish that court etiquette be observed at all times.

Please see notices for details on the Round Robin format.
