Refunds for late withdrawals will be made in line with LTA rules. Doctor’s certificate may be required for medical withdrawals. Any other refunds will be at the discretion of the Committee.
I have a trophy, what do I do?
Trophies must be returned cleaned and engraved. If you are playing in the Tournament this year, please return the trophy to the referee’s marquee as early in the week as possible and in any event before Wednesday. Holders of trophies not playing in the tournament, shall contact the Secretary to arrange their return not later than 1st July.
When will I start playing?
The Order of Play for the Sunday and the Monday will be posted on the website after the draw has taken place (Typically around the 1st of August). Each subsequent day’s order of play will be available on the website and/or LTA website the day before. We constantly monitor the progression of play and put together the following day’s order of play based on this and the weather forecast.
Can I request a specific match time?
No, we are unable to schedule individual match times due to the sheer number of players. All players are considered available to play at all times throughout the published dates of the Tournament. It is each competitor’s responsibility to find out when they are required to play. Match times will usually be sent to players by email the night before and match times are available on the LTA website by searching for the Hunstanton Lawn Tennis Tournament. Play will typically commence at 10.00am on the Sunday and 9.30am on each day thereafter.
I have GCSE / A Level Results to collect, what if this clashes with my match time?
We make allowances for players who have exam results to collect, therefore when the tournament clashes with a GCSE results day we will not play 16U events on this day, similarly if the tournament clashes with A-Level results day we will not play 18U events on this day.
10U & 12U Round Robin
This is a ‘fun’ Round Robin tournament, run alongside the main tournament, available for anyone in the 10U or 12U age group that is not in the main tournament. It is designed for the less experienced players as a friendly and somewhat laid-back introduction to structured play.
Do you have a designated safeguard lead?
Yes, you can find details on posters around the recreation ground, and you can contact them via [email protected]. You can see the LTA information and policy HERE
Are your committee Disclosure Barring Service (“DBS”) checked?
Yes, where necessary members of the committee hold a valid DBS certificate.
