When do you start taking entries?

Typically, entries go live on 1st March each year, any exception to this will be posted on the website and social media.

How do I enter?

You need to enter via the LTA website, find out more details HERE.

Do I need to a be an LTA Advantage member and/or have a World Tennis Number (“WTN”)?

All competitors will need to be an LTA Advantage member to enter. Players WTNs are validated and used as at the date of the draw. You can see more details on our ‘Enter’ page HERE

What events do you have?

When will I start playing?

The Order of Play for the Sunday and the Monday will be posted on the website after the draw has taken place (Typically around the 1st of August). Each subsequent day’s order of play will be available on the website and/or LTA website the day before. We constantly monitor the progression of play and put together the following day’s order of play based on this and the weather forecast.

Can I request a specific match time?

Unfortunately, no, we are unable to schedule individual match times due to the sheer number of players.

I have GCSE / A Level Results to collect, what if this clashes with my match time? 

We make allowances for players who have exam results to collect, if you are unable to play at a specific time due to collecting results, please inform one of the Referees.

How many courts do you have?

There are 10 permanent fully maintained courts based at the recreation ground. We erect a further 28 courts prior to the tournament. All events take place on all courts and players will be required to play on the court they are allocated.

10U & 12U Round Robin

This is a ‘fun’ Round Robin tournament, run alongside the main tournament, available for anyone in the 10U or 12U age group that is not in the main tournament. It is designed for the less experienced players as a friendly and somewhat laid-back introduction to structured play.

Do you have first aid on site?

Yes, we have fully trained first aiders on site, and we carry a defibrillator for emergencies. There is also a doctor’s surgery within a few minutes of the recreation ground.

Do you have a designated safeguard lead?

Yes, Lorna Holden is our Designated Safeguard Lead and you can find her details on posters around the recreation ground. You can the LTA information and policy HERE

Are your committee Disclosure Barring Service (“DBS”) checked?

Yes, where necessary members of the committee hold a valid DBS certificate.

Do you have car parking on site?

Yes, we have spaces for approx. 250 cars on site and tickets can be purchased on the gate (£5 per day or £15 for the week). Cars will only be permitted on the recreation ground when displaying a car park ticket  purchasable on your first entry to the ground. Tickets must be displayed at all times.

 

The Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk and the Committee reserve the right to refuse entry. Please respect local residents by not parking in front of, or blocking driveways, or entrances to houses. Users of the car park do so at their own risk. The Hunstanton Lawn Tennis Tournament will not accept any liability for any accident, damage, or loss to any vehicle and/or its contents howsoever caused.
